Ithaca not found unravels a personal journey of migration searching for a place of "belonging" after the closure of a twenty-year cycle living in England. Ιt refers to the experience of traveling back and forth between two countries, Greece and Great Britain, grieving over the losses along the way whilst experiencing the barriers of the pandemic. Having selected references to Homer's Odyssey the book creates a parallel to Odysseus’ last part of the journey trying to return to Ithaca. Swimming alone in the sea he overcomes the continuous obstacles sent by Poseidon traveling back and forth between waves. Both stories capture the period of time before the homecoming’s completion highlighting the timeless struggle of a person to discover their own identity and belonging.

ONGOING - One to one tuition in drawing, watercolour and acrylic painting. Adults 18+ and ART FOR THE YOUNG (5-12)
ONLINE ZOOM - Online art classes in drawing and watercolour painting on themes inspired by nature. using the Zoom. 2-hour classes, 4-week course: £80/€90. Maximum participants 8, 18+.
Physical tutoring is taking place in Paleochora Chania, Greece and and Oxfordshire, England. Just get in touch!

OVADA. Artweeks 2024 exhibition Big 20, 9-26 May 2024. 11th May - opening party with celebration. “A-E-O-OU-I” consists of small pieces of mixed media drawings of mouths on wood, which have the expression of the sound of the 5 vowels which have in common all 44 official European languages. This artwork is a continuation of the 2010 ACE funded project Language Paralanguage, which revolves around the wealth of languages existing in such close geographical proximity in Europe.
