The project refers to the experience of traveling back and forth between two countries, Greece and Great Britain, grieving over the losses along the way whilst experiencing the barriers of the pandemic. It concerns a personal journey of migration in search of a place to "belong", after the closure of a twenty-year cycle of the artist living abroad. Through poetic expression and drawings, it refers to traveling back and forth between two countries, Greece and the UK, grieving over the inevitable losses along the way. The project also recounts part of Odysseus' mythical journey to Ithaca, as he struggles alone at sea against the constant obstacles sent by Poseidon. The two parallel stories depict the times of wandering before the completion of the return, fueled by the deep human need to have a destination, even if this might never be reached. The project includes the illustration poetry book, titled Ithaca not found, as well as original drawings made from charcoal, graphite and ink. Some of the artworks were conceived in situ and some were after thoughts transformed into sketches, voice narratives and films. The book is bilingual (Greek/English), the illustrations are black an white mainly on the theme of water. All drawings are made from charcoal, graphite and ink, some were conceived in situ and some were just thoughts transformed into sketches.
